What real ASB messages look like

  • Official emails come strictly from @asb.co.nz
  • ASB will never send a link in a text message asking you to log in
  • They will never ask for your password, PIN, or Netcode via email or SMS
  • Netcode is only entered on the official ASB website or within the ASB app

Common spoof patterns

  • "Your Netcode has been requested — if this wasnt you, click here" SMS
  • "Action Required: Update your account details" phishing emails
  • Fake "Account locked" alerts driving you to a lookalike login portal
