What real ASB messages look like
- Official emails come strictly from @asb.co.nz
- ASB will never send a link in a text message asking you to log in
- They will never ask for your password, PIN, or Netcode via email or SMS
- Netcode is only entered on the official ASB website or within the ASB app
Common spoof patterns
- "Your Netcode has been requested — if this wasnt you, click here" SMS
- "Action Required: Update your account details" phishing emails
- Fake "Account locked" alerts driving you to a lookalike login portal
